With an eye on the future, KPC promotes personnel programmes that are designed to identify and develop potential human resources and Executive leadership talents from the country’s oil-sector workforce.
The Centre facilitates identification of potential Executive leaders of the Oil Sector and provides them opportunities for learning and development. Centre for Leadership Development (CLD) is an independent corporate body reporting directly to the CEO. The sole purpose of the Centre is the management of executive leadership skills. Development of active land potential leadership talents, as well as, the planning of succession processes in the country’s oil sector are amongst the primary objectives of CLD.

Objectives:
1. To assist Leadership Development Committees in identification of potential MDs/ DMDs/ Managers through established and approved assessment tools and templates
2. To map talent supply to meet oil sector demands

Activities:
1. Assist in development of an agreed and approved individual development plan for each executive
2. Develop/organise tailor-made leadership development activities to suit the requirements of the oil needs
3. Monitor and update the advancements made in the levels of competencies by executives
4. Provide professional advice to leaders in personal development;
5. Develop and maintain an up to date, live database of all executives in the oil sector
6. Prepare and facilitate Leadership Development Committee meetings
7. Document and implement Leadership Development Committee decisions
8. Develop and implement processes for holding of proper one-to-one feedback sessions for each potential leader
