A lecture on "How to Become a Leader"
at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation


The Training and Career Development Sector organized on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at the auditorium of the Oil Sector Complex, an introductory lecture on "How to Become a Leader" to which all DMD’s, Managers and Team Leaders of the oil sector and major international oil companies operating in Kuwait were invited. The lecture was also attended by a group of officials from KPC and its subsidiaries.
Mr. AbdulLatif Ahmed Al-Houti, Managerof Planning and Career Development at KPC, said that the corporation spares no effort to conduct training programmes and courses that eventually falls in the interest of oil sector personnel. Among the programmes prepared by KPC is the programme on general leadership methods.
Given the importance of the subject, Mr. Al-Houti added that KPC invited Prof. Leonard Yang, a Malaysian international lecturer and one of the world’s best speakers, to deliver a series of lectures on leadership and the modern methods applied in the world. The aim of the lecture was to brief oil sector officials and officials of international oil companies operating in Kuwait on the latest leadership techniques and programmes in the world.
Mr. Al-Houti promised to continue to have international lecturers in all fields in order to develop the capacities of the personnel of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries.
The Manager of Planning and Career Development thanked the Managing Director for Training and Career Development Sheikha Shatha Nasser Al-Sabah, for her vital support of the training programmes at KPC and its subsidiaries and for her great efforts in developing new training programmes that would improve the skills of the oil sector personnel. He also thanked the organizing team for the great efforts they contributed in organizing the lecture.
