Oil Family Members Congregate at al Abdalla’s Annual “Ghubqa”

Pursuing a long standing annual tradition, H.E. Sheikh Ahmed Al Abdalla Al Sabah – Minister of Oil and Chairman of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation – hosted a customary Ramadan “Ghubqa” for all oil sector affiliates on Monday, 23rd August in the Diamond Ballroom at the Sheraton Kuwait Hotel. The event was attended by KPC Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Saad Al Shuweib, as well as the CEOs, Managing Directors and Managers of KPC subsidiaries, in addition to a large congregation of employees. The attendees commended H.E. the Minister of Oil for upholding this annual tradition, which they looked upon as being a valuable opportunity for contact and interaction among oil sector members. On his part, H.E. Sheikh Ahmed Al Abdalla Al Sabah stressed that such gatherings are both imperative and fruitful for better acquainting employees with each other, as well as strengthening their relationship with their supervisors. Sheikh Al Sabah asserted that the presence of oil sector leaders in such meets reflects favorably on employees as it mitigates workplace formalities and reinforces cooperation between all.
