Sub: Contract signing meeting for the supply

of Diesel & Jet Fuel to Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise (EPE)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KPC International Marketing welcomed Mr. Mekonnen Teshome – A/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Mr. Tsegai G/Michael – Operation and Finance Executive Officer (CFO) of Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise (EPE), and also the ambassador of Ethiopia in Kuwait Ms. Haleema Mohammad on 10th April 2012 to sign contracts for the supply of Diesel and Jet fuel.

The Contracts Signing ceremony was headed from KPC side by Managing Director- International Marketing, Mr. Naser B. Al-Mudhaf and attended by Deputy Managing Director - International Marketing, Mr. Yousuf K. Al-Qabandy and the following personnel of Sales Middle Distillates department:

 

Mr. Anwar Al-Matooq                 - Manager, Sales Middle Distillates

Mr. Wael Al-Khuder                   - Team Leader, Sales Middle Distillates

Mr. Khaled Al-Humaidi              - Sales Representative, Sales Middle Distillates

 

The contracts signed were for the supply of Jet Fuel and Diesel for a period of three years starting from January 2012 to December 2014.

This agreement will cover the majority of the republic of Ethiopia requirement for Jet Fuel and approximately one third of their national Gasoil requirement with potential to increase in the future.

It should be noted this contract with Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise (EPE), is part of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (International Marketing sector) strategy to open a new market outlet in the African continent.

Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise (EPE) is the national oil company of the republic of Ethiopia and is the sole entity authorized to import petroleum products to fulfill the national demand of oil products.

Ethiopia is considered a safe and promising market in the East African continent with high growth rate and a sustainable outlet for Kuwait hydrocarbon in the future.
