Ministry of Oil

 
 



The Ministry of Oil is the government authority in charge of supervising and controlling all oil production and export operation and drawing up general policy for Kuwait.

The Ministry of Oil started its activities since 13th August 1966.


Situated on the left tower of the Oil Sector Complex, the Ministry of Oil’s main functions entail assisting the Supreme Petroleum Council to supervise the execution of its resolutions.

It also supervises the Oil and Gas sector.

  • To practice the state’s rights therein and to manage states shares and companies working in this sector.

  • To cooperate with Kuwait Government and local bodies in affairs relating oil wealth sector.

  • To carry out geological research and to supervise exploration of natural wealth.
