KPC Launches New Gateway to the
Oil Sector

With a simply click of a button, the
Chief Executive Officer Saad Al-Shuwaib
cut a virtual red ribbon, thus heralding
the launch of the most promising
Intranet portal slated to become an
online community for the Kuwaiti Oil
Sector.
The premier portal, entitled “Kuwait Oil
Gate,” has been especially incepted to
connect the employees of the Corporation
and its Subsidiaries in one information
network.
Mr. Al-Shuwaib said that launching the
site is an embodiment of the ‘Vision’
project that aims to extend bridges of
communication and cooperation between
the oil sector employees, unify the
identity of KPC and its Subsidiaries an
enhance the sense of loyalty and
belonging to one entity.
He added that launching the site came in
fulfilment of the strategic directions
in the realm of technology and
dissemination of electronic culture. Al-Shuwaib
expressed his pride of this achievement
wishing the oil sector more unity and
solidarity.

For his part, Ali Al-Hajri- Managing
Director Finance & Administrative
Affairs said one of the key objectives
of launching the site was facilitating
information exchange, and establishing a
communication channel to convey
important information swiftly and in a
direct manner.
Al-Hajri said that the KOG portal
includes several sections that were
careful prepared by the KOG Team to
allow employees the chance to stay
abreast with oil sector activities as
well as a comprehensive data base of
phone numbers and contacts.

KPC endeavours to establish a nucleolus
of collective and team work amongst KPC
and its Subsidiaries. He added that the
other objectives are “fostering
cooperation ties, concerting efforts,
and finding a common ground to work as
one entity in our quest to unify the
identity.”
Al-Khalid said that the KOG is a unique
media forum to underline activities,
reflect the oil sector’s social
responsibility, and ensure constant and
up-to-date coverage in addition to
projecting the bright image of the oil
sector and create a new oil culture that
rises up to expectations and foster the
sense of belonging.
