KPC’s mission statement states that it is a corporation of economic character, run on a commercial basis and fully owned by the state. It is one of the world’s major oil & gas companies and its activities are focused on petroleum exploration, production, refining, marketing, petrochemicals, and transportation.

KPC strives to manage and operate these integrated activities worldwide in the most efficient and professional manner, in addition to growing shareholder value whilst ensuring the optimum exploitation of Kuwaiti hydrocarbon resources.

The Corporation has an important role in contributing to the support and development of the Kuwaiti economy, developing national manpower, maintaining superior commercial and technical expertise and proactively managing the environmental, health and safety aspects related to KPC’s businesses. Also, KPC has responsibility to the Health, Safety and Environmental ( HSE) aspects of its businesses and aspires to manage KPC’s businesses according to the best industry practices in HSE , both in terms of targets and cost effectiveness, so as to ensure the protection of the environment and the health and the safety of employees and customers wherever KPC conducts its businesses.
