Maintain the fertilizer business and improve
its operating efficiency until exiting in
the medium term, through either
privatization or closing down the business.
Pursue growth in petrochemicals, both inside
and outside of Kuwait, with a focus on high
growth petrochemical products such as
Aromatics, Olefins and their downstream
products.
Pursue full and effective integration
between the petrochemical operations and
KPC’s operations inside and outside Kuwait
through utilization of KPC’s operation
outputs (such as refining) as feedstock for
petrochemical projects.
Build and acquire leading petrochemical
assets in mature markets outside Kuwait with
a proper foreign partner, leverage the
technical and marketing skills of mature
markets into new petrochemical projects in
emerging growth markets. Preference should
be given to petrochemical projects that are
linked to Kuwaiti hydrocarbon resources.
Pursue partial or full privatization of the
petrochemical activity. This should include
participation of foreign partner.
