KPC Sponsors Nafoot Adventures

In affirmation of its social responsibility and quest to bolster its presence in Kuwaiti society through supporting social, charitable, humanitarian and other productive and proactive activities, KPC c-sponsored the premier 3D kids cartoon movie ‘Nafoot Adventures,’ which takes place in a magical place populated by lovable characters inspired from the oil industry.
The movie was shown in Cinescape cinemas on 6th of November to mark the anniversary of extinguishing the last oil well. Notably, the movie was written and produced by former Minister of Oil Dr. Rasheed Al-Amiri.
The producing company held a press conference to announce the movie and its objectives and goals. Dr. Rasheed Al-Amiri said that while the oil industry is very rich and diverse the resources to raise awareness amongst children is quite limited and that the movie has been produced with an effort to educate children in a fun and educational way at the same time.

Mrs. Wasmiya Al Mashaan, Team Leader Public Relations, delivered the sponsors’ keynote address and said that KPC strives through sponsoring the movie aims to instil oil culture in young generation demonstration of its quest to instil oil culture in the young generation. She added that KPC is sponsoring this premier event that combines entertainment with knowledge in a manner that appeals to both the young and young at heart. All characters in the movie are inspired by the oil industry and the Jurassic era and embody the classic good vs. evil struggle.
The exciting events of the movie take place in a magical city populated by kings and queens, wizards, hidden treasures and rampant forces of evil thus making oil teaching fun and interesting. In short, “Nafoot Adventures” shows that the wonders of science and technology relating to the petroleum industry may be appreciated in a fun way.
To its credit, the movie won two silver prizes in the animation movie category at Cairo’s 18th International Children Cinema Festival. Dr. Al-Amiri said that it took nearly four years to produce the 3RD movie as special effects were involved. He added that endeavours to raise awareness about the oil industry amongst Arab children, its history and its influence on the world and Arab nations in general. The movie has been financed by Al-Daleel Company and all production work has been done in Egypt using Egyptian playback artists and studios.
